COVID-19 Info for Kids
Your children may be asking questions about what is going on in the world today regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. It can be hard to answer these questions appropriately. I found a lesson on Pebble Go that explains what the virus is, what a pandemic is, and how to protect yourself. If you're interested, just type in COVID-19 on Pebble Go, which can be found through BCPSOne.

- Play any song and when you pause the music your child has to freeze.
- Optional: Make it educational
- When they freeze ask them a question such as...
- What's the first sound of the word ________?
- What's the last sound of the word ________?
- What's 5 + 4? (Try to keep them relatively simple so they can solve quickly)
- What's 10 - 3?
- Give me an example of a noun/verb/adjective.
- What's the first step for washing your hands?
- What's a word that rhymes with ______?
- What's something all living things need to survive?
- What are the food groups on the MyPlate?
- "Repeat after me- sit""Change the /i/ to /a/ and the word is?" (sat)
- When they answer the question, they can unfreeze and continue to dance!
